Loneliness: A Poem

pexels-photo-764883.jpegHey there, here’s another poem that I wrote recently. Enjoy!

Loneliness

Cracked lips

and teeth-marked fingernails;

hands that close on emptiness and cigarettes;

smoke makes eyes water,

lungs shudder.

Ripped jeans hide insecurities,

the scars

are hidden by sleeves, pulled low,

defensive stance, blowing

smoke rings

instead of kisses.
