A Teacup Full of Stories

I don’t really have time to write something new today with revision for two exams tomorrow, so here’s a poem I wrote a little while ago. Enjoy!

Please don’t leave – stay

Awhile and sit with me. We can watch

The fire burn, and hold nothing in the palms of our hands.

This space

That exists in the corners of things,

We exist in.

I promise that we will not touch

Or speak, or even look –

But please don’t go.

It is better to be together alone.
