Searching For Sound Sleep: A Poem

Hi there,  I hope you enjoy this short poem I wrote this evening.

boy-447701__480

Salt stained pillows,

Creases spelling out every turn made,

Every attempt to catch and hold an illusive concept,

Wires whirring somewhere inside, anxious heart

Beats too many times, drum-roll,

Tempo of a cascade of unwelcome thoughts

That exit through the eyes leaving the pillows

Damp;

And salt-stained.
