Inner Gorgon: A Poem

Hi there! Big day tomorrow with 2 exams, so feeling quite anxious tonight. Here’s a poem about it which I hope you can enjoy.

I have

A writhing coil inside, that

Ties itself in knots, sliding in

A surging maze, snakes

Like Medusa’s hair echo their hisses

Through my brain, sowing seeds

Of doubt and anxiety, constant

Whirring, buzzing, leaves me

Unable to find peace; the variety

Of their lies and truths and sprawling thoughts

Smother my brain’s capacity to sleep, and I

Am dizzy and confused, listening

To the perpetual echo

Of their cries rebounding

Constantly inside.
