Dizzy: A Poem

Hi there! Please enjoy this little poem that I wrote this evening.ice-746925_1280I am forever spinning, dizzy,

Losing my footing and tripping

Over life as if I’m attempting

To walk on ice without skates, and all

Around me I see these figures seemingly gliding

Effortlessly; it may be

An illusion, but all I know

Is I’m a mess, falling to the floor

Again, getting

To my feet again, one step

Forward, another two back,

Landing on my knees, head bent toward

The ground; if I don’t

Stand up, I know, somehow,

The ice will crack and leave me

Flailing around for solid ground

That can’t be found.
