Sail: A Poem

Hi there! Please enjoy this nautically themed poem that I wrote this evening.sky-3054732_1280The wind

Is beginning once again

To softly blow; the gentle breeze

Allows white sails to fly, a hundred

Soft white wings against the sky; for

Although my boat has,

For a while,

Been clapped in irons, or, worse,

Without a breath of air with which to fly,

I can feel now

The cool air on my face, and smell the salt

Of distant shores, just beyond

The horizon.
