Hi there! I hope you enjoy this poem that I wrote this evening
One could collect
Rainwater in the hollows
Under her eyes, that lie, surrounded,
By spiderwebbing streams of inky blue
Caressing her closed lids, winding away to disappear
Beneath the sallow surface of her face, pale skin,
Seeming thin to touch, that waits
For the feel of a gentle hand, soft brush
Of palm that starts
Blossom in her cheeks;
And she could supply an ocean with what
She finds inside, salt tracked drops
That cling to lashes, and collect
In the hollows
Under her eyes.
